Reading Materials and Big Book

Reading Materials

The reading materials really tested my skills in vocabulary. As I read every reading exercise, I had encountered a lot of words that seem so unfamiliar to me. There are some exercises that belong to the easy level, some at average and there are also some which belong to the difficult level and indeed, I had difficulty in answering each item.

It’s really nice that from time to time, our vocabulary skills will be tested so to know how far have we developed our skills. Since our subject is Intensive Reading, then those 30 reading materials was the best way of having our skills in reading be practiced.

The reading materials served as a challenge in me to give some time enriching my vocabulary. It’s really important to develop my vocabulary skills in preparation for my future career. It just made me realized how important those tip being given by our high school teachers before. I should have applied those techniques of vocabulary enrichment so that by now, I have gone too far already.

This is the only pair work requirement given to us. We actually didn’t make it ourselves. I and Grace had looked for somebody to draw it for us since both of us do not have a talent in painting. What we only did here was, after the drawings was finished, we bring them all together and covered it with a cheap board so to make it look like a real book. What I learned from this requirement is cooperation. That is, if you are tasked to do a thing, whether difficult or easy, big or small, always help each other to make it fair and worth it.
