Demo Teaching

When I let the pupils read the poem Funny Froggie.
Demo Teaching

Demo teaching was a great experience I ever had in this subject. It made me feel like a real teacher already. I was so happy that we were given such kind of activity as a requirement in our subject. In that way we were given a chance to know our performance in teaching. This would really help us enhance our skills in teaching as well as in making a lesson plan.

We are being rated during the actual demo teaching and the lesson plan was also checked whether we have attained our objectives at the end. And right after the presentation, our teacher gave some of her comments and suggestions for us to be an efficient and effective teachers.

Demo teaching made us experience the real thing. It’s not just an oral reporting which we usually done in other subjects and even in this subject itself. But this is a kind in which we really have to act as if we are already a teacher.

The topic that I chose to teach the pupils (classmates) was about letter F and that my classmates pretended that they were Kinder 1 pupils. My lesson plan is shown below.

I. Objectives
At the end of the topic, at least 75% of the student should be able to:
  1. Identify words with letter F.
  2. Write the capital and small letter F.
  3. Sound out letter F
  4. Identify whether a word has initial, medial, or final letter F.

Let me be aware presence in all things and in all times. Encourage me when I am tempted to give up; encourage me when my brain seems slow and the way forward is difficult. Grant me the grace to put my mind to use exploring the world you have created, confident that I’m in You, there’s a wisdom that is real. Amen
